imm Cologne – PURE TALENTS CONTEST

Levi, the worktable by Marie Kurstjens and Iva Coskun has won the Pure Talent Contest. The centrepiece of the design is the joint. The continuous range of adjustments at any angle enables the universal use of very different tabletop sizes and shapes. Levi is mobile, lightweight, intuitive, and can be assembled and disassembled without tools. Folded flat, the X-base is a space-saving design for easy stowing and, flat-packed keeps storage and transport costs down.

Each year, imm Cologne invites emerging designers to create a Das Haus pavilion, a full-sized home reflecting on contemporary lifestyle. In 2020, Spanish studio MUT Design has created A la Fresca, an interior design project inspired by simple geometric shapes and the sun-drenched landscape and nature of their home town Valencia.

Reminiscent of a classical pavilion, the square ground area is dissected by convex wall panels and dissolves into four round rooms styled with minimalist furnishings that are arranged around a central residual space and completely open outwards. In Spanish homes, life revolves around the patio, a hybrid space connecting indoor and outdoor, a shaded inner courtyard at the core of Mediterranean architecture.

A la fresca reflects such lifestyle and features quality garden furniture by MUT. A series of new products were developed for pavilion including a hammock, an outdoor rug and a room divider by GAN, a rattan chair by Expormim or a chair by Diabla.
