Located in the Eastern side of Hong Kong, Alto Residences is a new residential development alongside the Tseung Kwan O south waterfront promenade.
The interior gesture is minimalist, majorly composted by two materials – walnut and light grey marble. In a compact environment, the architectural formation can be easy to define without being too busy. The lighting design has been carefully arranged, without being over-lit and to be able to create a precise and tranquil mood for the living space.
The owner is a couple who is fascinated by traditional Chinese culture and tea appreciation. The design strategy is in a way not only to tackle the compact living constraints but also to translate traditional Chinese architectural aesthetics into a contemporary spatial language. Especially fitting into compact space that can make use of the concept to enhance the quality of space.
At the southern side of Hong Kong, we have recently designed an apartment facing the Aberdeen Harbour with a beautiful mountain view. The apartment is designed to lengthen the horizontal experience with long timber cabinet wall and a mix of grey marble and textured wall and introducing an airflow to the interior that merges with the surrounding scenery.

Their newly residential project for a lovely couple with a newborn child at Dragon’s Range, Hong Kong. The corridor, bedrooms and foyer are rearranged to enhance the flow of space.
Putting marketing and the way they communicate Studio Adjective to their audience at the forefront of what they do, the Hong Kong-based design agency believes “every brand should deliver its own unique story to people.” This belief translates into Studio Adjective designs, because just as co-founder Emily Ho states, “a cafe, a retail shop or an apartment has to be a place that people would love to stay in.”
