The Rockwell Group, created in 1984 by David Rockwell and led by his partners Shawn Sullivan and Greg Keffer. The firm gives a strong importance to innovation and guarantees that every project has the best leadership. Although the firm is based in New York, it has a satellite office in Madrid. The Rockwell Group specialises in a large range of products from hospitality to healthcare projects and even those concerning education.
Here are some of Rockwell’s most iconic projects:
15 Hudson Yards is the first residential building to open in Manhattan’s Hudson Yards neighborhood. The 70-story, 900-foot-tall tower anchors the southeast corner of Hudson Yards East at 30th Street and 11th Avenue. Utilizing cold-bent glass to achieve its shape, 15 Hudson Yards softens the conventional expressions of glass towers, with its surface expressed as fluid and supple.
The Station House is a luxury rental residence in northeast Washington, D.C.’s burgeoning Atlas District. With interior design by Rockwell Group, the Fisher Brothers’ 11-story, LEED-certified building is full of contemporary amenities, mirroring the lively restaurant, retail, and gallery scene of the surrounding neighborhood.
At Moxy Chelsea, the hotel’s restaurant, lounge, and rooftop have been conceived as places of discovery, surprise, and rejuvenation—Frances Hodgson Burnett’s “The Secret Garden” meets Milan’s Villa Necchi Campiglio. Tucked into the bustle of Manhattan’s historic Flower District, guests encounter a botanically inspired design and crafted romance seen through a thoroughly modern lens.
Nowhere but Boston is the history of this country so well preserved and represented and set against a spectacular backdrop of Modern and contemporary architecture. Rockwell Group took its inspiration for the redesign of the hotel’s 193 guest rooms and suites, and meeting and function spaces from the soul of the city—the distillation of its many heritages through the centuries.
