THANK YOU FOR YOUR REQUEST
We will be in touch soon.
Did you know that there is day dedicated to interiors? Well, that’s true and it happens this month, May 30th.
World Interiors Day is an annual event spearheaded by IFI – The International Association for Architects and Designers, and designed to spotlight Interior Architecture/Design. The event actively engages professionals, national organizations, design enthusiasts and the general public to explore creativity, imagination, vision and passion in relation to the role of Interiors in society, culture and our future built environments.
IFI Interiors Declaration states, “It is after all, for humanity, our ultimate client that we design. We shape spaces that shape the human experience”. This year’s theme “Design For all” aims to bring the IFI Interiors Declaration to reality and imbed the words – value, relevance and responsibility by applying good design into culture, business and knowledge for the purpose of improving lives and creating more inclusive environments. Design solutions are reaching a much wider remit within health, ageing communities and wellbeing. Design can change lives and create better places to live, work and play, bringing communities together.
The month of May plays host to events highlighting the merits of the Interiors profession and the impact on the quality of life and the built environment. Events are planned by individuals and hosted all over the world, linked by a common theme chosen each year by the IFI membership to reflect the values of not only IFI but the industry as a whole.
May is coincidently the month that hosts two of the major events in the interior design industry, both in the United States: Maison & Objet Americas in Miami Florida, happening from the 12th to the 15th May and ICFF in NYC happening from the 16th to the 19th of the same month.
Having so much related to the interior design industry, the debut of Maison & Objet Miami couldn’t be in any other month.
