The fabric for dining room chairs will change the ambience of a living room, they have to match all the decoration or complement it in some way. That being said is necessary to pick the right fabric in terms of type of fabric, color and texture.
There are some fabrics that are more likely to do the best job.
For a more durable and comfortable feeling cotton is a natural fiber that provides a better resistance and it can be blended with other fabrics, it is versatile.
Twill is one of the best, it is thicker than a majority of fabrics. Examples of this can be seen on some products of the brand BRABBU for example on the chair NANOOK Dining Chair and it can be seen on another products of this same brand.
A fabric that is rarely used alone but is one of the best to do this job is nylon, one of the most resilient fabrics and it doesn’t readily soil or fade. It is fairly soft and it has a variety of yarn type an weaves, also blends well with other fibers.
Another good fabric is acrylic, this a synthetic choice made has a wool imitation. This kind resists wear, wrinkling, soiling and fading.
Polyester is a good fabric but this one doesn’t work alone is most of the time blended with other fibers to offer wrinkle resistance because it has this quality.
Silk is also a good fabric for this type of necessity but this is a better alternative for this fine fiber it is called rayon it has a more resistible fabric than silk it has a downside that it wrinkles.
Leather is also a choice and will give a more luxurious look to a room and it is very comfortable used in chairs.
This example by Stella Works uses leather for the places where people seat and place their backs to be more comfortable and for structure uses wood.
One of the concerns of the fabric for dining room tables is the cleaning but there are some issues on this topic for some patterns and colours.
It is possible to point high stores that sell better fabrics with more quality and more resistible. A good term for comparison is the fabrics used in hotels for example.
Some brands of reference are Aldeco, Eiffinger, texdecor, Roberto Cavalli home and lots of others whom are present in hotels and public places thinking on the durability of the chairs and comfort too.
