Fashion, design and architecture, three different subjects that are think and projected independently but that are closer than ever. Fashion and design were already hands tied, however, architecture also belongs to that same equation. The proof is the new fashion collection from Louis Vuitton, inspired by the work of the modern architect Charlotte Perriand.
Louis Vuitton’s Spring Summer 2014 Icônes collection coincides with the creation of a previously unrealised beach house by Perriand during this year’s Design Miami exhibition. Perriand’s investigations into standardization and modular furniture led Louis Vuitton’s designers to create garments that can be matched with each other in various combinations.
