Manhattan will be dazzled with one of the world luxury hotels, enhanced by the New York’s Baccarat Hotel & Residences, that is set to open in 2nd March of 2015, but it’s already taking online reservations. If you enjoy spending absurd amounts of money but still want to pretend that you’re getting a deal, it’s your lucky day, because for a limited time, the ultra-luxury hotel is offering a “discount” rate. New York’s Baccarat Hotel is set to be part of world’s luxury hotels.
Located directly by MOMA, in Midtown Manhattan, the 114-bedroom hotel will occupy the lower levels of a 50-storey Skidmore, Owings & Merrill-designed skyscraper. Interiors are by Paris-based designers Gilles & Boissier, and any concerns that they might overdo the bling in their efforts to express the aesthetic of the crystal brand should be abated.
Bedrooms and suites are finished mutely in a palette of champagne, ivory and platinum, with cashmere throws and soft lighting. The aim is to resemble Parisian pied-à-terre’s, with extra comfort. Bathrooms will be finished in white marble, and amenities are from Maison Francis Kurkdjian. Rooms furniture, and throughout much of the hotel’s common areas, has been custom-made for the property.
This will be one of the World luxury hotels that will feature America’s first La Mer spa, which will incorporate four treatment rooms and stand beside a basement pool intended to resemble a sunken ballroom.
As for dining options, the Baccarat is making an effort to draw custom from the numerous luxury hotels already established in the area – as The Peninsula, Four Seasons and recently opened Park Hyatt New York. Predictably, perhaps, the restaurant will be a French-style brasserie, but with Michelin-starred chef Shea Gallante at the helm, expectations are high.
Inspired by the stables of Versailles and laden with heavy Baccarat chandeliers, a vaunted bar should attract New Yorkers eager for cocktails after visiting an exhibition next door.
If you’re are one of these New Yorker’s, please, don’t miss the chance to go for a cocktail or even to experience a relaxing and glamoured night at one of the world luxury hotels suggested by BRABBU: Baccarat Hotel.
