SEQUOIA is a nature force, an ancient spirit belonging to the largest and tallest trees in the world. The different veneer from the table top show the passage of the years, enriched by the texture of the brass bark. SEQUOIA proves the beauty of the action of time.
Newton is an outstanding moment of inspiration. A luxury statement piece it is the best in contemporary furniture design mixed up with luxurious details and high quality materials.
The concept was to create a space, a cocooned feeling of protection and enclosure. The bed portrays honesty of the structure and the sculpted form which is a unique collaboration of man and material. The title derives from the Latin words Enigma (‘mystery’) and Lignum (‘wood’), for me they sum up the series: the mystery of the composition lies in the material.
This is the carbon fiber ‘Vessel’ bathtub designed and built by Splinter Works. It mounts between two walls, drains through a hole in the floor, and probably costs more than a car. Obviously, it’s going on the Christmas list.
Eiri Ota and Irene Gardpoit Chan of the architecture firm UUfie, have designed the Peacock Chair.Taking its namesake from the feathered animal, whose billowing tail opens into an expanse of pattern and color, the recliner’s back rest fans open in the same way, propelling in a sweeping curve. A delicate, lace-like motif spreads throughout the framework, yet the design is only optically fragile as its material is made structurally strong through the thermoforming process.
Turner table is simply a head turner. Inspired by Tina Turner’s dance moves it has an art deco shape with the possibility of rotating its arcs into the desired position so that you can create your favourite composition at any time. The arcs are made in brass with a copper finish and the top cover in aluminium lacquered in glossy white.
