Recently, this year’s top 50 restaurants list has been unveiled. Great restaurants were mentioned and all of them must be recognized because they are the best in the world. Considering that and the approaching of Clerkenwell Design Week we decided to help those who are attending the event with their choice concerning to the best restaurants to have their meals. As a result we present to you the top 5 restaurants in London.
Since 2001, Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, Chef Ramsay’s first owned restaurant, has won three Michelin stars and gained prestige as one of the best restaurants in London and in the UK. The restaurant was designed by the famed David Collins, and seats 45 guests intimately. It serves a slew of menus, including the Menu Prestige that includes dishes like the Isle of Gigha halibut with Atlantic King crab, cauliflower couscous, finger lime and ras el hanout infused broth.
Alain Ducasse is one of the most decorated chefs in the world, earning honors like the American Academy of Hospitality Sciences Finest Chef in the World Award and several Michelin stars. Also, he is frequently regarded as the finest French chef in the world. His restaurant in London, Alain Ducasse, is housed in The Dorchester Hotel, a five-star luxury hotel. It serves contemporary French food, including a set 3-course meal that includes wine. The restaurant holds three Michelin stars.
Currently run by esteemed Chef Michel Roux Jr., Le Gavroche was the first UK restaurant to win 3 Michelin stars. The restaurant takes you back to the classics, serving exceptional wines, cheese and classical French dishes like Coquille St. Jacques Girllée, Bouquet de Salade et Carottes, Crème à l’Estragon – Grilled Scallops with Carrots and Salad Leaves and also Tarragon Mustard.
Located at the heart of Mayfair, Babbo is a place for fine dining and authentic regional Italian cuisine. Babbo’s interior combines Mayfair elegance with the traditional warmth and old-fashioned charm expected from a family run Italian restaurant. Clusters of framed family photos adorn the walls alongside a selection of vintage wines showcased next to the wooden staircase.
Adam Perry Lang and Jamie Oliver have teamed up to bring London a new restaurant— Barbecoa. Focused around the relationship between fire and food, the cuisine at Barbecoa is mostly flame-grilled meats. These selections come from the restaurant’s own butcher shop, which is in an adjacent building, to ensure the freshest and finest cuts for their guests. At Barbecoa It’s not just the food that will leave you amazed, the huge glass windows give way to the most stunning views over St Paul’s Cathedral.
