“In these objects, I try to give a second chance, pulling out the light from matter and amplifying the sensory experience.” – Marco Stefanelli
Forces of nature are endless. From the early years of existence to its life ending, the materials that surround our existence and give beauty to the world are a source of continuous reconnaissance. With that thought in mind, Marco Stefanelli, an Italian designer, gave light and revived one of the most common and tried nature elements: the wood.
Just like a sculpture, Marco removed a section of wood and with his talent, combined art, nature, furniture and lighting. Embedded LEDs and wires within it, the process is devoted to the nature itself and the finishing product confirms it: resin is used to fill the interior of this magical piece. As a stool or a seat, Brecce is a raw material converted into devotion and organic natural furniture. The irregular strips of LEDs courses the surrounding environment and turns the room into a fairy space, where the ceiling is the sky for this creation and the walls are the haven of the comfort of those creations.
By the hands of Marco Stefanelli, the wood rebirth and design is challenged again. And if the rings of the tree trunks represent years of life, then they need to add other circles in this natural drawing.
